A cultural experience in the Tham Rong community combining a workshop dedicated to traditional Thai kite making with a visit to Wat Tham Rong Cave, offered through Travel Thailand Creation. At the Thai Kite Conservation Learning Center, participants learn kite-making techniques, from preparing and bending bamboo to building the frame and completing the final decoration, creating their own kite to take home. The experience also offers the opportunity to learn about the traditional Chula and Pak Pao kites and to visit the cave housing Luang Pho Dam, an ancient Buddha image carved directly into the rock.
Bookings support the Tham Rong community and the Thai Kite Conservation Learning Center, where local kite makers teach the techniques and stories behind traditional Thai kites.
