

A workshop at the Khom Matao Learning Center dedicated to making the traditional Khom Matao, a distinctive lantern from Nan Province associated with Lanna culture, offered through Travel Thailand Creation. Participants learn from local artisans about the history, cultural significance and beliefs connected to the lantern and take part directly in its creation and decoration. Traditional materials such as bamboo and mulberry paper are used, with the opportunity to personalise the finished piece and take it home.
The workshop is run by artisans at the Khom Matao Learning Center in Ban Khom Kham, who teach the lantern-making technique and share the beliefs connected to it.
